Facts About RCKF
- Sifu Moses began his formal training Ving Tsun at the Moy Yat Ving Tsun Academy in Richmond, Va in 2001 but began his martial arts pursuits in 1995 while at Virginia State University.
- River City Kung Fu was established in 2006 under Sifu Moses C. McClendon, II.
- Original Logo and Designs for branding were contributed by his sister (and student ) Chantelle M. McClendon.
- Original 5 years were taught at Hickory Hill Community Center in Richmond’s Southside.
- Next two (2) years classes were held at U-Turn Sports Performance Academy in Richmond, VA.
- Moved to 314 N. 2nd St. in Richmond’s downtown inside the heart of Historic “2 Street” in 2014.
- Re-Opened after a move to Hull St. in Richmond’s Manchester District in 2016 where we currently reside.
- Sifu Moses has made several moves over the years to make the school a better place…to include the most recent move of placing the school under the direct instruction of Grand Master Tony Watts AKA “The Professor” in Oct. of 2019.
- Sifu Moses is a member of the IMYVTF as a Life Member in 2020.
